Newsletter in 2007

From: Mike Broad

Phil has put his name forward to look after this Newsletter in 2007 - so this will be the last Newsletter compiled and distributed by me.
Thanks for sending in contributions during 2006 - I'm sure that Phil will be pleased to receive (in other words, Phil will demand with menaces) further contributions in 2007.

The rain it raineth on the just
And also on the unjust fella;
But chiefly on the just, because
The unjust steals the just's umbrella.

Excuse No. 101 for not flying a new model

From: Martin Briggs

I made it to Selsley but moved on to Frocester because the direction was better for that face.
However, I bottled out of test flying a new glider in the strong and turbulent conditions of the day. The forecast was for 17mph wind but it was so strong it lifted my mates wig and that’s never happened before. I’ll try again in more clement conditions.

The Final And finally ....

Three SCSA Members died on Christmas Eve and were met by Saint Peter at the pearly gates.

"In honor of this holy season," Saint Peter said, "you must each possess something that symbolizes Christmas to get into heaven."

The first SCSA Member fumbled through his pockets and pulled out a lighter. He flicked it on. "It represents a candle", he said.

"You may pass through the pearly gates" Saint Peter said.

The second SCSA Member reached into his pocket and pulled out a set of keys. He shook them and said, "They're bells."

Saint Peter said "You may pass through the pearly gates."

The third SCSA Member started searching desperately through his pockets and finally pulled out a pair of women's knickers.

St. Peter looked at the man with a raised eyebrow and asked, "And just what do those symbolize?"

The man replied, "They're Carol's."
